I purchased this for myself as a prostate massager. I find it very effective and exciting. It has multiple vibration modes and the remote works great. From a few feet away the button has to be pressed and held for a micro-second longer than a press. The other thing is this vibrator is not quiet. If your female partner is wearing it, test to see if you can hear it. I can hear it when I am using it. It is not super loud, but if you were in a doctor's office waiting room and someone was sitting next to you, they might hear a subtle vibrating sound. In a restaurant that has a fair amount of noise, it would probably be okay. Just test it first before you have a fun evening out.
